Sites that run code need a verified account, not a paid one
Most websites are pages, images and styles, and those work on any account from the moment you sign up. A site that does something server-side — takes bookings, saves what a visitor typed, talks to another service — needs a verified account, which is not a card check and not something you buy: signing in with Google verifies you straight away.
This is not something you buy. It is the same on the free plan as on Pro, and an unverified account is held to 1 website, 10 MB and 10,000 requests a month until it is.
Billing
The questions people ask about paying.
Is the free plan a trial?
No. It does not expire and it never asks for a card. If you never need more room, you never need to pay.
What happens if I go over a limit?
Your website keeps serving. We tell your assistant which limit you reached and by how much, so you can decide whether to tidy up or move up a plan.
Can I change plan later?
Any time, in both directions. Moving up takes effect immediately; moving down applies at your next renewal, so you keep what you paid for. Yearly saves 18% on Starter and 17% on Pro, with identical limits either way.
Do domains cost extra?
Connecting a domain you already own is included on every plan. Buying one through us is charged separately, and we always show the renewal price next to the first-year price, because those two often differ by a lot.
What if I cancel?
Your sites keep running until the end of the period you paid for, then the account returns to the free plan. Nothing is deleted for being over a limit without telling you first.
